Job summary

Responsibilities

Job description

Support student-level data accuracy and reporting for the Oklahoma Department of Education in an onsite role in Oklahoma City.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to support compliance with federal and state reporting requirements
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of required state data, including assistance with federal and state reporting needs
• Use programming languages to extract data from multiple sources and translate findings into recommendations for decision-making, design, and issue resolution
• Analyze, manage, and support large datasets within established parameters
• Generate reports using student-level information in response to specific requests
• Improve data collection and management processes to ensure efficient handling of valuable information
• Contribute to the design and implementation of web-based data collection projects for student-level data
• Assist with organization and validation of accountability systems and educational data
• Maintain and organize data for use in the State Accountability System
• Apply subject matter expertise in business rules, supporting datasets, and data integrity processes for identified state and federal reports
• Deliver high-level technical assistance, training, and troubleshooting to school districts
• Create custom student-level reports for legislative, agency, or public requests
• Resolve inquiries proactively, using transparency and open communication to build trust

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics, Management Information Systems, or a related field dealing with quantitative data (official transcripts required upon hire)
• 2 years of experience using data management systems, including creating intermediate to advanced SQL queries and writing stored procedures or functions
• Experience with analytic tools including Excel, R, Power BI, SAS, and SPSS
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
• Valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory to support job-related travel
• Successful completion of a skills assessment as part of the screening process
