Job summary

Hybrid 3 days on site in McLean, VA

Our client seeks a Senior Data Analyst to lead development and implementation of data products that enable self-service for data consumers. The role will re-engineer and migrate data processes from on-premises to Amazon Web Services, execute and monitor data pipelines for partners and regulators, and develop prototypes for new business intelligence capabilities. The analyst will evaluate and improve data management, data quality, and data access processes, implement governance solutions across quality metrics, metadata, lineage, access rights, and business definitions, and create data mappings to support transitions to new systems.

Rate: $50.00 to $55.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Act as a key data lead to drive development, evolution, and implementation of data products enabling self-service for data consumers.
• Re-engineer data processes and migrate from on-premises environments to Amazon Web Services.
• Explore and apply industry trends, tools, and techniques in open source, big data, and digital domains.
• Execute and monitor data processes that deliver critical data to partners and regulators.
• Develop prototypes and implement new business intelligence tools, solutions, and techniques.
• Assist in development of standards and policies for business intelligence frameworks.
• Evaluate data management, data quality, and data access processes for gaps and inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Implement solutions for governance across data quality metrics, metadata, lineage, data access rights, and business definitions.
• Develop data mapping to enable end users to transition to new systems.

Experience Requirements:

• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience with Snowflake SQL.
• At least 1 year of Python coding and automation scripting experience.
• At least 1 year of experience querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, Snowflake SQL, Unix/Linux, and GitHub.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services products such as QuickSight and Snowflake.
• Experience with BI tools such as QuickSight.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline.
• Preferred: COF experience.
• Preferred: Domain knowledge in risk management, audit, or credit operational control.
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience in process management and improvement using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Preferred: 1+ years working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts, and data quality tools.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred.
