Job Title: Data Management - Sr. Data Analyst

Duration: 5 Months

Location: Candidates local to McLean are preferred, candidates local to Richmond will be considered (just not preferred). The expectation is hybrid with physical attendance onsite 3 days per week will be required

Responsibilities:

Innovation...

• Act as key data lead to leverage versatile technical capabilities to drive the development, evolution, and implementation of data products, which enable self-service by data consumers
• Re-engineer data processes and migrate the processes from on-premises to Amazon Web Services
• Explore industry trends, tools, and techniques in Open Source/Big Data/Digital domain

Business Intelligence...

• Execute and monitor data processes that deliver critical data to partners and regulators
• Develop prototypes and implement new business intelligence tools, solutions, and techniques
• Assist in development of standards and policies for business intelligence frameworks

Data Management...

• Evaluate data management, data quality and data access processes for gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities; provide recommendations for improvement
• Implement solutions and processes for management and governance across data quality metrics, metadata, lineage, data access rights, and business definitions
• Develop data mapping to enable data end users to more easily transition to using new systems

Ideal candidate will have:

• Degree specialized in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline
• Experience with Python, Pyspark, Snowflake SQL, Unix/Linux, Github
• Experience with Amazon Web Services products such as Quicksight and Snowflake
• Experience with BI tools such as Quicksight

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 1 year of experience with hands on Snowflake SQL
• At least 1 year of experience Python coding along with automation scripting skills
• At least 1 year of experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline
• Experience in domain knowledge focused on risk management/audit/ credit operational control space
• 1+ years of experience working within process management and improvement methodologies - Lean, Six Sigma, etc)
• 1+ years of experience working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and data quality tools management concepts and data quality tools
