Gilead Sciences Inc. is seeking a Sr Manager, Data/AI Solution Architect to lead design of Data and AI solutions across HR & LCCR. You will partner with stakeholders, owners, and platform leads to determine the right architecture for predictive analytics and AI-driven insights.

This role is based in Foster City, CA and is hybrid-eligible. The position reports to the Director, Data/AI and requires 8+ years of AI/ML experience, strong Python and ML framework skills, and a track record delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 6+/8+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering.
• Hands-on experience building LLM / generative AI applications, including fine-tuning, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and modern ML frameworks; design of knowledge bases and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI/ML architectures for predictive analytics across HR and LCCR.
• Develop, fine-tune, and evaluate AI/LLM models with policy, procedural, and regulatory requirements.
• Engineer secure data pipelines and retrieval-augmented knowledge bases across enterprise content.
• Lead delivery through engineers and partners, ensuring production-ready solutions at scale.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and governance for trustworthy outputs.
