Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to architect and deploy production-grade data and AI solutions for customers and partners. You will own the architecture, guide design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure secure, scalable deployments and measurable outcomes, including occasional travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing with Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience with MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solutions by delivering end-to-end data and AI systems.
• Architect and own design decisions for scalable, secure customer engagements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scope technical deliverables and drive value.
