Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work with customers to design and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Experience with two or more Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and related internals.
• Knowledge of CI/CD for production deployments.
• Familiarity with MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Ability to design and deploy production end-to-end data architectures and apps.
• Experience delivering technical projects with scope, timelines, and outcomes.
• Documentation and white-boarding skills; enterprise client experience.
• Willingness to travel ~20% and Databricks Certification.
