Job summary

Databricks is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer in Dallas, Texas, to work closely with customers on data and AI solutions. You will lead projects, oversee architecture, and ensure successful implementation of systems across various technical domains.

The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in data engineering, be proficient in languages such as Python and Scala, and possess deep experience with Apache Spark. This is a customer-facing role requiring excellent technical delivery skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, platforms & analytics or software engineering.
• Comfortable writing code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with Apache Spark™.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead impactful customer technical projects delivering production-grade systems.
• Guide customers through transformational big data projects.
• Own architecture and design decisions for customer solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering and product teams.

Skills
