Job summary

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) seeks a senior data and AI engineer to design, build, and deploy AI/ML and automation solutions across the BDAT/CI organization. You will collaborate with IT and platform teams to move prototypes into production, creating scalable, self-service data practices and coaching teams to build their own solutions.

You will lead data and AI enablement efforts, sharing best practices across DTNA, and acting as a technical reference for AI engineering, data platforms,

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with ability to write, review, test, and productionize code.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying AI/ML, automation, or data solutions beyond prototypes.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic approaches (Snowflake Cortex, Copilot Studio, LibreChat).
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and ETL/API integration.
• Ability to coach and co-develop with teams and translate between business and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML, automation solutions for high-impact initiatives.
• Take prototypes to production-ready solutions with IT and DIH teams.
• Develop reusable patterns connecting data to conversational AI tools.
• Lead data/AI enablement across CI programs and DTNA teams.
• Mentor junior members and grow a data/AI community.
