Job summary

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) is hiring a senior data and AI engineer to build and scale AI/ML and automation solutions in collaboration with business teams. The role emphasizes production-ready delivery, governance, and enabling teams to own solutions with strong engineering practices.

You will partner with IT and the Data Intelligence Hub to enable self-service analytics and AI, coach teams across the organization, and advance a data- and AI-driven culture within the CI/BDAT organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or 8 years in lieu of a degree.
• Strong Python and SQL coding, productionizing AI/ML
• Experience designing, building, deploying AI/ML and automation solutions beyond prototypes
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic approaches (Snowflake Cortex, Copilot Studio, LibreChat)
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and ETL
• DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML, automation solutions for high-impact initiatives.
• Take prototypes to production-ready solutions with IT and data teams.
• Build reusable patterns connecting business data to AI tools.
• Develop new ways of working with data, analytics, automation, and AI.
• Coach teams to apply data, analytics, automation, and AI in CI work.
• Mentor junior team members and data practitioners.
