Daimler Truck North America is seeking an experienced data and AI engineer in Fort Mill, SC to lead hands-on AI/ML, automation, and data initiatives within the BDAT team. You will partner with IT, DIH, and business units to deliver scalable solutions and foster a data-driven culture.

The role emphasizes coaching, collaboration, and producing production-grade assets, with a hybrid work model and a strong focus on responsible, scalable data practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Proven ability to design, build, and deploy AI/ML, automation, or data solutions.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic approaches.
• Strong grounding in ML, statistics, and data engineering basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML, automation solutions for high-impact initiatives.
• Take prototypes to production-ready solutions with IT and data teams.
• Build reusable patterns linking business data to conversational AI.
• Share best practices and promote data-driven culture across DTNA.
• Mentor junior team members and data practitioners.
