Job summary

Required are a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 4 years of relevant experience, and CLS/CACCS credentials. This is an onsite position with a focus on patient-centered care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
• Four (4) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• CLS and CACCS- Clin Cytogeneticist Scientist certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety/health regulatory and state/federal requirements and hospital policies.
• Leads assay validation and verification in the cytogenetics lab; analyzes tests statistically.
• Oversees testing in the lab section and interprets results per guidelines.
• Performs clinical laboratory tests of varying complexity to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintains and checks equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Monitors daily quality control and provides test interpretations as needed.
• Trains staff on assays and supports competency assessments.
