Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to perform and validate clinical lab tests on body fluids, maintaining strict adherence to protocols and quality standards. You will calibrate and maintain equipment, analyze test results, and report findings with accuracy while addressing abnormal results per established procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least one year of relevant laboratory experience, plus licensure such as CLS or CLS-LTD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
• One (1) year of progressively responsible and directly related work experience
• CLS or CLS-LTD license

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs and completes laboratory analysis on body fluids in accordance with laboratory protocols and policies.
• Adheres to safety/health and state/federal regulatory requirements and laboratory procedures.
• Maintains instrument calibration and records; performs maintenance as needed.
• Keeps abreast of new technical developments and applies them to improve testing quality.
• Ensures proper handling and reporting of abnormal results in accordance with protocols.
• Performs a range of clinical laboratory tests to aid diagnosis and treatment.
• Troubleshoots instrument issues and escalates problems when needed.
• Communicates findings clearly to supervising staff and other departments.
