Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current California state Cytogenetics CLS License.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• At least 10 years of laboratory experience in both karyotype and FISH study of cancer samples.
• Ability to analyze and interpret results, maintain quality assurance, and work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform a wide variety of technical procedures in Clinical Cytogenetics and Genomics.
• Develop or modify methods and perform parallel testing.
• Repair laboratory instruments and process samples.
• Prepare reagents, data entry, and assess workload daily.
• Report results within licensure scope without direct supervision.
