Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Administrator in Tampa to support UISCENTCOM. You will configure and maintain SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and network access control, ensuring secure, scalable operations in a Linux environment.

You’ll tune alert rules, run health checks, and collaborate with cybersecurity engineers to deliver compliant defenses. The role requires 5+ years of experience and TS/SCI clearance, with DoD 8140/8570 certs preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in a related field.
• DoD 8140/8570 certification required or equivalent.
• Minimum 5+ years of related cybersecurity/IT risk management experience.
• Proficiency with Linux administration and automation.
• Current TS/SCI clearance required or clearly stated eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Configure, tune, and optimize SIEM, EDR, and network access control solutions for CSOC operations.
• Maintain cybersecurity systems, perform patches, and conduct health checks for reliability and performance.
• Develop standards and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
• Integrate tools with data sources and automate response workflows in SOAR.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing within the cybersecurity team.
• Engage with end users to gather requirements and assist in security analytics and dashboards.
