Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to join our GRC team. You will lead the development and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation, assess controls, and manage continuous monitoring across the organization to protect systems supporting national defense and space exploration.

The role requires strong technical writing, risk-based decision making, and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in cybersecurity, information assurance, CS, IS, or risk management.
• 5–10 years of progressive cybersecurity experience with GRC focus.
• Experience developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, SSPs, POA&Ms, or comparable compliance documentation.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and protection of CUI.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical organizational controls and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, review, and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation and policies.
• Plan and coordinate security assessments and self-assessments for compliance.
• Support readiness for government reviews, third-party assessments, and external audits.
• Evaluate security controls and evidence to show compliance.
• Identify gaps, propose corrective actions, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, legal, contracts, and business teams to integrate cybersecurity requirements.
