Sentara Health seeks an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise security technologies across a large environment. The role emphasizes SSE, Zero Trust, and Zscaler, with involvement across network, cloud, identity, and endpoint security initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical troubleshooting with leadership, architecture-to-implementation ownership, and a collaborative mindset to drive issues to resolution and production stability.

Competenze

Extensive hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience with SSE/SASE, Zero Trust, or related enterprise security technologies.
Strong experience with Zscaler technologies including configuration, topology, and policy troubleshooting.
Strong networking and troubleshooting expertise across TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, VPN, PKI/certificates, proxies, and application connectivity.

Own complex issues with a methodical, evidence-based root-cause approach.
Translate architecture into scalable security solutions with risk and dependency awareness.
Lead cross-functional discussions across cybersecurity, network, cloud, identity, endpoint, and infrastructure teams.

Mentor engineers and drive automation, reliability, and operational processes.
