Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise security technologies across a large, complex environment. You will focus on SSE, Zero Trust, Zscaler, and related initiatives across network, cloud, identity, and endpoint security.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on troubleshooting with architectural leadership, driving projects from design through production handoff and optimizing security posture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications such as Zscaler, CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE, Microsoft Security/Azure, CISSP, or Security+ are preferred.
• Extensive hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience in SSE/SASE, Zero Trust, and enterprise security technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise security technologies across a large environment.
• Lead complex security implementations from architecture through production handoff.
• Communicate risks and findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
