Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a growing, fast-paced team. You will contribute to information assurance, RMF packaging, and secure architectures for government and commercial projects worldwide.

The role spans Windows/Linux administration, network security, and system integration testing, collaborating with product teams to ensure secure architecture and accreditation readiness. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Assurance, secure systems/network administration, or similar discipline.
• RMF packages design and documentation; maintaining them in eMASS.
• Strong knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, CMMC, CIS, or similar standards.
• DoD Zero Trust Framework knowledge.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and implement secure architectures.
• Act as a central cybersecurity resource across multiple projects and programs, providing leadership for larger efforts.
• Create documentation to track vulnerabilities and remediations, populate security packages, and present program security status.
• Provide technical and policy guidance enabling successful security accreditation efforts.
• Manage system security requirements.
• Manage and configure firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Validate and test security functionality.
