Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to be seated 100% on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and involves developing cybersecurity requirements for combat systems, leading policy initiatives, and coordinating across multi‑level programs.

Qualification includes DoD IA policy experience, IAT Level II, and JPAS proficiency. The candidate should have strong communication skills and a track record in defense cyber

Qualifications

• 5+ years program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or 10+ years general security engineering.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01 or successor.
• Privileged users must have T-5/T-R with IT level-1 designation in JPAS and complete OS/CE training within 6 months.
• Understanding of cybersecurity, military system specs, and DoD IA policies for land and afloat/tactical systems; strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, best practices, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research, analysis, and coordination for multi‑level classified efforts.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against threats.
• Analyze cybersecurity, policy gaps, and information system risks for combat systems.
• Engineer and document cybersecurity requirements, risk analyses, and mitigation plans.
