Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on developing cybersecurity requirements and policies for combat systems, with leadership in threat analysis and policy coordination.

You will lead groups to address emerging threats, perform risk assessments, and document all cybersecurity artifacts, including MBSE models, ensuring DoD IA compliance and clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program-specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum IAT Level II per DoD 8570.01 or successor.
• Privileged users must have JPAS IT level-1 and T-5/T-R adjudication, plus OS/CE training within six months.
• Strong understanding of DoD IA policies for land-based and afloat systems and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Lead research, analysis, and coordination for DoD cyber assurance across classifications.
• Lead working groups to create cybersecurity strategies against threats.
• Analyze cyber, intelligence, and IT policy gaps for combat systems.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation.
• Develop risk assessment analyses and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Document cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, threat analyses, and system engineering.
• Develop or use MBSE models for cybersecurity analysis.
