Job summary

Optiv is a remote-friendly consultancy recruiting an experienced security architect to work across the continental U.S. You will act as a technical lead, interface with customers and vendor partners, and mentor delivery teams to ensure robust security solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in security architecture, familiarity with SABSA/TOGAF, networking, OS fundamentals, and regulatory compliance, with CISSP/CISM/CISA preferred. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and about 5‑7 years of related work experience.
• Approximately 4‑7 years of technical architecture experience.
• Strong knowledge of business continuity, cyber resilience, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as SABSA, TOGAF, or O‑ESA.
• Knowledge of networking, OS basics, security technologies, and scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).
• Understanding regulatory requirements and data privacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects as solo deliverable owner or as a project lead.
• Triage technical escalations and provide guidance to other consultants.
• Plan capacity, propose HW specs, and lead deployment activities.
• Oversee security build processes, code migration, and source control use.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
• Mentor teams and transfer knowledge to clients and vendors.
