Job summary

Enstar is seeking a Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist to provide independent, technically informed assurance over its cybersecurity tools, controls and processes. You will plan risk-based reviews, assess control design and operation, and translate findings into practical recommendations for Cybersecurity and senior management.

You will also coordinate assurance activities with third-party staff and work across regions, with the target base salary range disclosed in the General Info section.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in cybersecurity or related fields.
• Experience applying structured assurance methods to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.
• Experience producing assurance reports and presenting findings to technical and leadership audiences.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CCSP, CCNA, AZ-500 are desirable.
• Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, VPNs, firewalls and logging.
• Familiarity with AI security concepts and assurance considerations.
• Ability to translate technical observations into business risk.
• Ability to work across regions/time zones and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver risk-based assurance reviews of cybersecurity tools, controls and processes.
• Define scope, criteria, evidence, sampling and test procedures for reviews.
• Review architecture, configurations, policies, logs and dashboards to form evidence-based conclusions.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of controls, distinguishing tool existence from configuration.
• Assess asset inventories, software governance, licensing and lifecycle status.
• Review software against standards and identify end-of-life risk.
• Perform network/infrastructure assurance covering TCP/IP, ports, routing, subnets, firewalls and VPNs.
• Evaluate DNS, encryption, key management and data protection controls.
• Assess security tool platforms (Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Intune, CyberArk, Azure).
• Conduct AI assurance reviews and coordinate testing (pentests, shadow AI, etc.).
• Document findings with evidence, risk, root cause and recommendations; track remediation.
• Present results to teams and governance forums; support KPI and Board reporting.
• Perform other duties and projects as needed.
