Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive security architecture across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will lead strategic security initiatives, guide risk assessments, and drive incident response while collaborating with executives and cross‑functional teams.

The role requires deep expertise in security frameworks, threat intelligence, and DevSecOps, with experience in third‑party risk and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with leadership in architecture.
• Expertise across network, cloud, data, and endpoint security.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS frameworks.
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and encryption.
• Cloud security proficiency across AWS, Azure, GCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a comprehensive cybersecurity architecture strategy.
• Design secure IT environments and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Implement security controls for on‑premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee risk assessments and governance framework development.
• Lead incident response and coordinate with legal/comms teams.
• Integrate security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management).
• Mentor security engineers and manage third‑party risk assessments.
