Primary Responsibilities

1. Ensure financial applications meet controls through audits, testing, and reporting.
2. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance systems and recommend features to mitigate risks.
3. Provide training on investigative techniques and work effectively as part of a team on complex investigations.
4. Monitor fraud trends and develop strategies, tools, and processes for detection while balancing customer experience.
5. Assess new tools and processes for fraud risk and propose controls.
6. Partner with vendors, product teams, fraud operations, and tech teams to manage and develop fraud controls.
7. Track performance of fraud strategies and communicate findings to senior audiences.
8. Analyze fraud trends to identify root causes and propose solutions.
9. Serve as an escalation point and articulate high-level vision and requirements.
10. Work with stakeholders to prioritize and refine deliverables using quantitative and qualitative techniques.
11. Guide development, testing, and refinement of fraud controls in an agile environment, hosting training sessions.
12. Facilitate solutions across legal, risk, operations, UX, and technology teams to align with corporate strategy.

Required Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or 3 years of security investigative experience, or 5 years of cyber security investigations.
• 2+ years in Splunk and Lucene technologies.
• 2+ years troubleshooting complex multi-domain fraud investigations.
• 2+ years documenting and reporting fraud investigation findings.
• 2+ years briefing leadership on incidents and activities.

Assets

• 2+ years experience with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch.
• Remote employees must adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

The salary range is $89,800 to $176,700 annually, based on factors like location, education, and experience. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions. Benefits are subject to eligibility.
