As a Fraud Investigator, you will partner with cross-functional teams on special projects, investigations, and fraud prevention efforts, including legal and financial requests and call center fraud prevention.

You will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., tackling challenging issues.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure financial applications meet controls through audits, testing, and reporting.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to improve systems and suggest features to mitigate risks.
  3. Conduct training on investigative techniques and work effectively within a team on complex investigations.
  4. Monitor fraud trends and develop strategies, tools, and processes for detection, balancing customer experience.
  5. Evaluate new tools and processes for fraud risk and recommend controls.
  6. Partner with vendors, product teams, fraud operations, and technology teams to manage and develop fraud controls.
  7. Track performance of fraud strategies and tools, and present findings to senior management.
  8. Analyze fraud trends to identify root causes and propose solutions.
  9. Serve as an escalation point and communicate vision and requirements clearly.
  10. Work with stakeholders to prioritize and refine deliverables using data-driven techniques.
  11. Guide the development, testing, and refinement of fraud controls in an agile environment and host training sessions.
  12. Coordinate across legal, risk, operations, UX, and technology teams to deliver aligned solutions.

Required Qualifications:
  1. Undergraduate degree or 5 years of security investigative experience.
  2. Must have SANS GLEG Law of Data Security and Investigations Certification or CISSP.
  3. 3+ years experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
  4. 3+ years experience with Splunk and other Lucene technologies.
  5. 3+ years experience troubleshooting complex multi-domain fraud investigations.
  6. 3+ years experience documenting and reporting findings.
  7. 3+ years briefing leadership on investigative activities and reports.
  8. Experience with investigations and legal referrals to law enforcement or internal teams.
  9. Must be recognized as an expert witness in cybersecurity or fraud cases.

The salary range is $106,800 to $194,200 annually, based on full-time employment and various factors such as location, education, experience, and certifications. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentives, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility.
