Job summary

AeroVironment in San Diego, CA is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to identify, analyze, and communicate threats that could impact the organization. This role blends traditional intelligence with hands-on cybersecurity to enable detections, investigations, and defensive improvements.

The ideal candidate understands actors, geopolitical threats, and has hands-on experience with telemetry, SIEM/XDR, vulnerability data, and attacker techniques; collaboration with SOC and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, SOC, IR, or threat hunting.
• Strong understanding of threat intelligence lifecycle and principles.
• Hands-on with SIEM/XDR, EDR, network security, Windows/Linux, identity, cloud security.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and common attack techniques.
• Ability to analyze technical indicators (domains, IPs, hashes, URLs, processes).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence from multiple sources.
• Identify threat actors, campaigns, malware, vulnerabilities, and TTPs.
• Produce executive and technical threat reports and briefings.
• Translate intelligence into detections, watchlists, and security controls.
• Collaborate with SOC and security engineering to implement responses.
• Conduct threat hunting based on hypotheses and TTPs.
