Job summary

AV is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to identify and communicate cyber threats impacting the organization and its operations. The role blends traditional threat intelligence with strong technical cybersecurity skills to produce detections, investigations, and prioritized security improvements.

The analyst will monitor diverse threat intel sources, develop assessments, maintain IOCs, and translate intelligence into actionable detections in collaboration with SOC and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, Intelligence Studies or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, SOC, incident response, threat hunting or related
• Strong understanding of cyber threat intelligence principles and lifecycle processes.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to investigate security data beyond intelligence reports.
• Working knowledge of SIEM/XDR, EDR, network security, Windows/Linux, identity/auth, vulnerability management, cloud security.
• Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, adversary TTPs, and common attack methods.
• Ability to analyze technical indicators such as domains, IPs, hashes, URLs, processes, and network activity.
• Ability to communicate complex threats to technical teams and leadership.
• Strong analytical, research, documentation and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cyber threat intelligence from multiple sources.
• Identify emerging threat actors, campaigns, malware, vulnerabilities, and TTPs relevant to the organization.
• Develop intelligence assessments covering strategic, operational, and tactical threats.
• Maintain threat actor profiles, IOCs, TTPs, and intelligence requirements.
• Analyze threats using MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain frameworks.
• Produce executive and technical threat reports, alerts and briefings.
• Evaluate credibility and relevance of intelligence before dissemination.
• Track threats targeting the organization’s industry, tech stack, supply chain, and operations.
• Analyze endpoints, network, identity, cloud, email and security telemetry to validate threats.
• Use SIEM/XDR to investigate IOCs and behaviors; perform threat hunting.
• Develop and execute queries with languages like KQL, XQL, SPL.
• Analyze IPs, domains, URLs, hashes, certificates, processes and network activity.
• Translate intelligence into actionable detections with SOC/engineering teams.
• Assist with IOC ingestion, enrichment, and alerting rules.
