Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions seeks a Claim Consultant for the Cyber & Technology - E&O team with a hybrid schedule across its U.S. offices, including New York City.

You will independently manage high-exposure cyber and technology E&O claims, analyze policy language, and develop robust coverage positions while coordinating with outside counsel and vendors. You will lead claim strategies, review settlements, and collaborate with underwriting, legal, actuarial, brokers, insureds

Qualifications

• J.D. required and licensed to practice.
• 7+ years of specialized claims handling, including Cyber/Technology E&O.
• Strong specialty coverage analysis and litigation management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage sophisticated, high-exposure matters with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate, evaluate, reserve, and resolve complex, high-exposure claims from notice through resolution.
• Analyze specialty policies and develop clear, well-supported coverage positions and correspondence.
• Develop claim, coverage, and litigation strategies and direct defense counsel, coverage counsel, experts, consultants, and other vendors.
• Evaluate liability, damages, causation, coverage, and settlement opportunities, and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials as appropriate.
• Prepare large-loss reports, claim summaries, and reserve recommendations, and present significant matters to leadership.
• Partner with underwriting, legal, actuarial, brokers, insureds, and other stakeholders, while providing technical guidance to less experienced claims professionals.
