Job summary

Oliver James Group, a leading insurance organization, seeks a Senior Claims Specialist for its Cyber team to handle complex cyber and E&O claims from first notice through resolution in a senior technical capacity.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (4 days in office from Jersey City, Warren or Morristown, NJ and 1 day remote) with a base salary of $125,000–$145,000 plus a 10% annual bonus, and 20 days PTO with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years cyber claims experience, incl. 1st/3rd party.
• Open to attorneys moving in-house to insurance.
• Experience with Tech E&O or other E&O claims.
• Strong coverage interpretation experience.
• Bachelor's degree and Adjuster License.

Responsibilities

• Handle mid to complex cyber and tech E&O claims through to conclusion
• Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently
• Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy
• Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
• Maintain relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders

A leading insurance organization hiring a Senior Claims Specialist for their Cyber team. This is a senior-level technical role handling complex a range of cyber claims (1st and 3rd party), along with other E&O claims if required. You will manage mid to high-exposure claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle mid to complex cyber and tech E&O claims through to conclusion
• Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently
• Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution
• Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
• Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3+ years cyber claims experience - ideally with 1st and 3rd party cyber experience gained from an insurer or law firm. Please note we are happy to consider Attorneys looking to move in-house to insurance
• Experience within other PL claims such as Tech E&O, Media E&O or other E&O claims
• Strong exposure to coverage interpretation and other coverage matters
• Experienced within litigation through all stages of the claims process
• Background with a reputable carrier or law firm
• Bachelor's degree required; Adjuster License
