Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Roy, UT, seeks a senior Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) to support the Sentinel program. You will join a team of engineers to ensure mission cyber requirements are met and secure system designs are implemented.

The role requires DoD 8570 IASAE II/III certification, active Secret clearance, and US citizenship, with strong systems engineering and cybersecurity skills in RMF, CNSSI guidelines, and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity Engineering, or related field, or 18 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Direct experience utilizing NIST 800-160 system security engineering and the system development life cycle.
Direct experience developing RMF assessment and authorization documentation.
Current DoD 8570 IASAE Level II (CISSP) certification and ability to obtain IASAE Level III within 6 months of hire.
Active Secret clearance; US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Provide technical decisions and guidance to enable timely, high-quality product deliveries and flight test events.
Collaborate with IPTs to meet program cyber requirements and mission objectives.
Support development and enhancement of Launch and Missile Defense systems.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and guidance (CNSSI 1253, DoD 8570, DoD 8510, AFI 17-101).
Propose cyber architecture changes with traceability to requirements.
Develop and document standard engineering processes and procedures.
