Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer (CSSE) to support the Sentinel program. You will implement cyber survivability requirements and guide security architecture across the system design.

The role requires an active Secret clearance with potential for TS; work in an Agile/DevSecOps environment with RMF/NIST guidance. Relocation assistance may be available and travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• Active Secret clearance; Top Secret eligibility preferred.
• Experience with RMF, DoD guidance and system security engineering.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-37 and 800-160 requirements.
• Experience supporting cyber systems for defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical decisions and guidance to enable timely product deliveries and flight test events that meet cyber requirements.
• Collaborate with IPTs to satisfy program cyber requirements and objectives.
• Support the development and enhancement of cyber systems for launch and missile defense.
• Ensure weapon system compliance with CNSSI 1253, DoD 8570/8140, and AFI 17-101.
• Perform cyber-attack surface analysis and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Develop verification efforts to ensure cybersecurity protections are functional.
• Contribute to security governance and risk management activities.
• Participate in engineering reviews of requirements, design and test plans.
