Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer (CSSE) to support Sentinel programs from Annapolis Junction, MD. The role focuses on ensuring cyber survivability in weapon system designs and guiding security architectures across multiple teams.

The CSSE will work within a DevSecOps framework, perform risk assessments, and ensure compliance with CNSSI 1253, DoD 8570, DoD 8510, and AFI 17-101. A Top Secret clearance is required or obtainable, with ongoing certification targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in: Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or 6 years’ experience in a cyber system engineering related field in lieu of a degree.
• Direct experience utilizing NIST 800-160 system security engineering and/or the system development life cycle.
• Direct experience with RMF assessment and authorization artifacts development (NIST SP 800-37).

Responsibilities

• Implement weapon system cyber survivability requirements across architectures.
• Guide security governance and risk management.
• Develop and document standard engineering processes for cybersecurity across teams.
• Support verification activities to ensure cyber protections are functional and complete.
