Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Cyber Engineer (Principal or Sr. Principal) to perform security assessments, implement RMF controls, and support DoD programs.

You will collaborate with system admins and cross-functional teams to strengthen defenses while ensuring compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and related standards. This role requires active DoD Secret clearance, IAT Level II, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or related STEM field required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required or active Top Secret preferred.
• Experience with RMF/DIAC/ STIG guidance and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and document security procedures and processes.
• Perform security assessments and vulnerability scanning.
• Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53 and DoD RMF guidance.
• Collaborate with system administrators to implement secure configurations.
• Provide input for program documentation and security artifacts.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings and cross-functional teams.
