Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Architect/Engineer to lead the design and implementation of advanced cybersecurity solutions.

You will be hands-on fortifying defenses, acting as SME for technical challenges, and collaborating across teams. The role reports to the Director of Cyber Security and offers a remote schedule with initial 90 days onsite, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cyber security with at least 8 in a cyber-focused role.
• In-depth knowledge of security architectures across major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Experience with data centers, virtualization, AI security, and secure network design.
• Proven ability to implement enterprise security strategies and Zero-trust frameworks.
• Hands-on with security standards such as NIST ISO 27001/62443, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK.

Responsibilities

• Lead design/implementation of security reference architectures for hybrid/cloud/enterprise environments.
• Develop enforceable security strategies for data centers, virtualization, and AI tech.
• Provide architectural leadership for endpoint security, data protection, and SaaS integrations.
• Establish/ENFORCE security standards and best practices aligned with Honeywell goals.
• Engage with external partners to evaluate security tech integrations (non hands-on).
• Provide guidance on security best practices and emerging threats; pursue continuous improvement.
• Support security assessments and risk management across the enterprise.
• Assist with M&A security integration by providing architectural guidance.
• As principal SME, mentor security and IT architects.
