Job summary

Honeywell Inc. is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Architect/Engineer to lead design and implementation of advanced cybersecurity solutions for Hybrid Cloud, Private Cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments.

You will drive architecture standards, mentor architects, and collaborate across teams to strengthen defenses against evolving threats. You will report to the Director of Cyber Security and work from Northford, CT with a remote schedule, initially onsite for 90 days.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a cyber-focused role across one or more domains.
• Deep knowledge of security architectures across major clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI).
• Experience with data center security, virtualization, and AI security considerations.
• Proven ability to develop and implement enterprise security strategies and frameworks (Zero‑trust).
• Hands-on with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001/62443, CIS).
• Knowledge of encryption, tokenization, and DLP techniques.
• Familiarity with EDR and antivirus technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of security reference architectures for Hybrid/Private Cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments.
• Develop enforceable security strategies for data centers, virtualization, and AI tech.
• Provide architectural leadership for endpoint security, data protection, and SaaS integrations.
• Establish and enforce security architecture standards and best practices.
• Engage with external partners and vendors to evaluate security tech integrations (not hands-on).
• Offer expert guidance on security best practices and emerging threats; drive continuous improvement.
• Support security assessments and risk management across the enterprise.
• Assist Physical Security during M&A with secure integration and separation guidance.
• Serve as SME and mentor for security and IT architects.
