Job summary

Five9 is seeking a Staff Information Security Engineer to own the Cyber Resiliency program and mature its cloud security posture across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will govern the program, own tools, develop processes, and engage engineering to scale the initiative while supporting Cloud Security as a senior technical resource.

You will lead governance, reporting, and executive-level metrics, partnering with engineering leadership to drive remediation and reduce risk across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information security experience in a senior technical role.
• Experience operationalizing a security program with governance, processes, and reporting.
• Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP strongly preferred).
• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to drive remediation and risk reduction across engineering teams without direct authority.
• Experience building executive-level security reporting and metrics.
• Excellent communication skills to present program status to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational lifecycle of the Cyber Resiliency program, including tool administration and issue triage workflows.
• Develop and maintain program governance: SLAs for remediation, escalation paths, and quarterly reviews.
• Build executive reporting for resilience trends, remediation velocity, and risk exposure by system criticality.
• Drive the program communication plan to ensure engineering teams understand expectations.
• Define and maintain issue prioritization frameworks balancing system criticality, environment, and remediation effort.
• Partner with engineering leads to drive remediation of infrastructure resilience issues and track progress in Jira.
