Job summary

Peraton in Linthicum, MD seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Manager to lead the ISSO/ISSE team supporting a DoD customer. You will oversee RMF-based cybersecurity across government data, coordinate with CISO and senior leaders, and drive vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance reporting.

The role requires Top Secret/SCI eligibility, 10+ years in cybersecurity, strong policy development skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a military

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of cybersecurity experience and supervisory/leadership exposure.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity program standards, policies, and NIST SP 800-53 family.
• Experience writing security policies, SSP/SSPP, and RMF artifacts.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the ISSO/ISSE team ensuring cybersecurity protection across government data and systems.
• Direct RMF implementation and ensure compliance per NIST and DoD directives.
• Coordinate with CISO, CIO and leaders to report performance metrics and program progress.
• Develop and refine cyber operations objectives, plans, and programs.
• Manage risk, issues, and project decisions for the cybersecurity operations team.
