Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Engineer in Suitland, MD. The role involves building, configuring, integrating, and maintaining security systems for TS/SCI networks.

You will provide Tier 3 escalation support, leading engineering and administration of cybersecurity capabilities across complex environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Information Assurance, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance in DISS.
• 10+ years of LAN/WAN technologies and Windows/Linux environments.
• 6+ years integrating, implementing, and operating cybersecurity tools.
• Knowledge of SIEM platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic).
• Familiarity with vulnerability management (Nessus, Retina, SCAP).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Azure VMs, VirtualBox).
• Scripting/programming: Python, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, PowerShell, C, C++, Java.
• Experience with ServiceNow and enterprise cybersecurity tools.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies for enterprise use.
• Lead engineering and system administration for new cybersecurity tools.
• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain cybersecurity tech across networks.
• Perform hardening and RMF activities to meet DoD requirements.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support including root cause analysis.
• Support Windows and Unix/Linux OS/applications across environments.
• Assist with cybersecurity tool integration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Validate interoperability of new tech with existing capabilities.
• Develop and maintain system diagrams, docs, and procedures.
• Develop and deliver training on cybersecurity tools and processes.
• Support annual cybersecurity exercise planning and execution.
