Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Cyber Defense Engineer IV to analyze and resolve complex security and infrastructure challenges across cloud security, IAM, DR engineering, and DevSecOps. You design interfaces, develop solutions, and automate processes while maintaining code quality and compliance.

The role emphasizes production support, advanced analytics, and collaboration with IT teams to improve security posture and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of related experience or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of ERP and legacy system interfaces and development best practices.
• Experience with cloud security, IAM, and disaster recovery concepts.

Responsibilities

• Designs and constructs moderately complex interfaces between ERP and legacy systems.
• Provides production support for moderately complex applications in production.
• Uses back-end programming languages and front-end script languages to optimize performance, scalability and security.
• Codes programming logic for new or existing solutions following design specs.
• Handles installation, configuration, development, workflow design, monitoring, and upgrades.
• Maintains up-to-date records of issues with existing code.
• Monitors quality and performance of applications through testing and maintenance.
• Develops and maintains applications for business processes and systems.
• Ensures adherence to development best practices and communicates improvements.
• Identifies opportunities for process enhancements and drives efficiency.
• Forecasts, models and uses advanced analytical tools.
