Job summary

Motion is seeking a Cyber Operations Engineer IV to lead complex cyber defense work across cloud security, IAM, infrastructure protection and DR engineering. You will design, implement, and support secure systems and tooling in a hybrid environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and 8–12 years of experience, plus certifications; you will mentor teammates, optimize performance, and drive security best practices in collaboration with IT and operations.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of related experience or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud security, IAM, and infrastructure protection.
• Knowledge of security best practices and required certifications.
• Pays close attention to detail and desires to probe further into data.
• Ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Designs and constructs moderately complex interfaces between ERP and legacy systems.
• Provides production support of moderately complex applications by troubleshooting issues, developing fixes, and migrating solutions.
• Uses back-end programming languages and front-end scripting to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
• Codes logic for new or existing software following design specifications.
• Maintains up-to-date records of issues with existing code.
• Monitors quality and performance of applications through testing and maintenance.
• Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements and communicates them to drive efficiency.
