Job summary

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking a Sr. Entry Writer to manage daily import activity for assigned accounts, prepare customs entry documentation, and coordinate shipment status updates with vendors, brokers, and customers.

You will report to the Global Trade Compliance Officer, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and ensure accuracy, follow-through, and excellent customer service while maintaining timely communication and creating routine reports.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional and confident phone communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using internet-based systems, inventory software, import databases, spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Process high profile customers and maintain good customer relations.
• Process Southern Border entries inbound from Mexico.
• Review vendor documentation and create complete customs entry packets.
• Prepare files for customs entry and submit information for clearance.
• Track and trace containers and monitor shipment status.
• Coordinate with drayage teams, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment issues.
• Enter and maintain U.S. Customs entry information and shipment status in SAP.
• Assist with audits of customs entries for accuracy.
• Create daily, bi-weekly and monthly reports for customers.
