Job summary

PSA BDP, located in Colleyville, TX, is seeking an Entry Writer for a permanent, non-exempt hourly role. The position prepares documents required by the federal government for discharge of foreign cargo at domestic ports, serving as a liaison among importers, carriers, and U.S.

Customs. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of relevant experience, a college degree, and strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• A college degree is required.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Good communication and organization skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
• The ability to work on a team is strongly desired.
• Familiar with customs clearances procedure both in import and export.
• Knowledge of import and export procedure
• Knowledge of customs policy
• Good Microsoft Office Skills in Excel and Word
• Candidate should have the ability to learn various computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point of contact for existing and new customers
• Daily arrangement of customs clearance, and monitor the customs brokers daily procedure & reports
• Implement SOP perfectly to meet customer specific requirement
• Working with Coordinator/Documentation in terms of System data entry and checking
• Invoice preparing, cost checking and presenting, job checking and closing
• Support manager to meet with customer for better communication, efficient cooperation, or removing the misunderstanding, etc.
• Complete other related jobs assigned by the team leader
