Job summary

PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. in Irving, TX is seeking a Sr. Entry Writer to support import operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage daily import activity, prepare customs entry documentation, track shipment status, and coordinate with brokers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely clearance. The role reports to the Global Trade Compliance Officer and requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience using internet-based systems, inventory software, import databases, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
• SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional and confident phone communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing high profile customers and maintaining good customer relations.
• Processing of Southern Border entries inbound from Mexico.
• Review vendor documentation and create complete customs entry packets.
• Prepare files for customs entry and submit required information for clearance.
• Track and trace containers, monitor shipment status, and verify U.S. Customs clearance.
• Follow freight release at the port and help prevent delays or charges.
• Coordinate with drayage teams, truckers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve shipment issues.
• Enter, process, and maintain U.S. Customs entry information and shipment status updates in SAP and related systems.
• Assist with audits of customs entries for accuracy.
• Create daily, bi-weekly, and monthly reports required by the customer.
• Monitor Customer ACE accounts for accuracy.
