Job summary

Altius Talent in Queens, NY is seeking a LCB Compliance Manager to lead the company's customs compliance program, ensuring CBP and PGA requirements are met. The role serves as the internal authority on trade compliance, overseeing entry quality, supervising the brokerage team, and advising staff and clients on regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate is a licensed customs broker with deep technical expertise, sound judgment, and leadership skills to strengthen processes and mentor a team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of customs brokerage experience, including supervisory or management exposure.
• Deep knowledge of HTS classification, valuation, origin, and U.S. import rules.
• Experience with CBP penalties, audits, protests, and disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce customs compliance policies aligned with 19 CFR Part 111 and CBP standards.
• Supervise brokerage operations including entry writers and filers.
• Conduct regular internal audits of entries for classification, valuation, and duty accuracy.
• Review high-risk entries, guide classification and trade program questions.
• Oversee post summary corrections, protests, and disclosures as needed.
• Manage CBP inquiries, CF-28/CF-29, notices of action, penalties.
• Monitor tariff changes and PGA requirements; ensure regulatory filings.
