Job summary

Datamark, Inc. is seeking an experienced Back Office Manager to lead a high-performing back-office operation supporting customs processing activities. This role ensures day-to-day production meets client SLAs, regulatory requirements, budgets, and profitability targets.

The ideal candidate will hold an active U.S. Customs Broker License, bring deep customs brokerage expertise, supervise production teams, and partner with clients and customs stakeholders to drive process excellence.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License.
• Experience leading customs brokerage, international trade, import/export, logistics, freight forwarding, or trade compliance operations.
• Minimum of 8 years of back-office or operations experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of management experience.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Lead designated customs processing and back-office operations to meet profitability targets.
• Ensure all processing complies with CBP regulations and client requirements.
• Oversee customs documentation, classification, entry processing, and related activities.
• Maintain awareness of regulatory changes and implement updates.
• Partner with stakeholders to address compliance, improvements, and client needs.
• Direct production teams to meet SLAs, compliance, and contracts.
• Manage budgets, staffing plans, and operational resources.
• Monitor KPIs and present results to leadership and clients.
• Develop and mentor Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and staff.
• Provide coaching and development plans; support business continuity.
