Job summary

Milliken and Company seeks a Customer Quality Manager to ensure defect-free delivery of electronic-grade chemicals for semiconductor customers. You will lead SPC, drive CAPAs, and manage customer quality communications across Commercial, Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain.

The role requires strong statistics, audit experience, ISO 9001 knowledge, and the ability to influence across functions. This is an individual contributor leadership role in a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Statistics, or a related discipline is required.
• Five or more years of experience in quality, process engineering, or manufacturing within specialty chemicals or semiconductor supply.
• Proven customer-facing experience supporting technical quality inquiries, customer communications, audits, and issue resolution.
• Strong applied statistics experience including control charts, capability analysis, MSA, hypothesis testing, regression/ANOVA, and SPC ownership.
• Hands-on experience hosting customer audits, responding to findings, and maintaining audit-ready documentation.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, change control, document control, nonconformance management, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead structured root cause investigations and drive corrective actions across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary quality contact for assigned semiconductor accounts with timely, technically sound responses.
• Lead structured problem solving with rapid containment, root cause analysis, and verified CAPAs.
• Prepare and deliver customer-facing quality metrics for quarterly reviews and ad hoc requests.
• Build and improve SPC coverage, including control charts, capability studies, and stability reviews.
• Partner with Manufacturing to establish Out-of-Control Action Plans for process control.
• Analyze production and quality data to identify trends, drift, and seasonal effects; publish routine trend reports.
• Translate data insights into process control improvements and change controls.
• Communicate complex quality data clearly to customers including genealogy and specification alignment.
• Coordinate and execute customer notifications for product or process changes.
• Plan, host, and lead responses for customer audits and quality surveys; close findings with evidence.
• Own or support Quality Management System processes including document control and CAPA.
• Use JMP, Power BI, and SAP to automate dashboards, SPC triggers, and reports.
• Lead cross-functional quality initiatives across Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial.
