Job summary

onsemi seeks a Senior Customer Quality Manager to lead customer quality requirements and partnerships across Medical, Semiconductor, Automotive, and Industrial segments. This hands-on, voice-of-the-customer role collaborates daily with Sales, Product & Test Engineering, Product Quality, Central Engineering, Manufacturing and BU Operations to deliver resolutions and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Engineering with customer-facing skills.
• 10+ years in a comparable role for medical/semiconductor/automotive/quality.
• Experience handling PCN, RMAs and audits.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools (8D, FTA, Fishbone, 5-Why, etc.).
• Excellent communication and ability to work across worldwide time zones.

Responsibilities

• Be the key customer interface to manage customers' quality requirements and develop relationships.
• Lead customer quality improvement programs (KPI improvement, scorecards, QBRs).
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving activities and 8D; improve 5D cycle time across global teams.
• Improve customer trust by addressing VOC, issues, hot items, and action plans.
• Drive closure of quality-related issues, RMAs, and customer requests with stakeholders.
• Handle Medical/Semiconductor/Automotive complaints, field returns, 8D/FA cases, and audit support.
• Establish and maintain healthy customer relationships and periodic feedback.
• Describe faults, manage analysis processes, and set up corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Contain escalations promptly based on risk and FA analysis.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and report issues promptly.
• Summarize quality issues and promote dashboards, pulses, and scorecards.
• Host customer quality audits and ensure closure of post-audit actions.
• Handle PCN processes in a timely manner without impacting device performance.
