Job summary

ScyllaDB is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to join our global Customer Engineering team. This post-sale role requires guiding enterprise customers through complex deployments and migrations, driving performance optimization and resolving escalations with technical excellence.

You will own engagements end-to-end, mentor peers, and help scale best practices across the team while collaborating with Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, and Product.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in customer-facing technical roles such as Customer Engineering or Solutions Architecture.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise customers in complex post-sale environments.
• Hands-on expertise with distributed databases including ScyllaDB or Cassandra.
• Experience leading migrations, upgrades, or modernization efforts.
• Strong Linux knowledge and scripting in Python, Java, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor for enterprise customer accounts with high complexity.
• Independently lead deployments, migrations, upgrades, health reviews, and performance optimizations.
• Review architectures, driver configurations, sizing, replication, and operational practices.
• Mentor engineers, share knowledge, and help scale technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering to ensure successful outcomes.
