Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Senior Custom Logic Engineer to lead technology development and project planning for complex Avionics hardware. You will design FPGA/ASIC/CPLD devices, generate DO-254 artifacts, and drive both short- and long-term business goals with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong VHDL design experience, DOORs requirements management, and proven leadership in hardware design projects within the Mil/Aero domain.

Qualifications

  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years in design.
  • Familiarity with avionics design and DO-254 certification artifacts.
  • Experience with VHDL for hardware design and verification.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design lifecycle tasks for FPGA development across product families.
  • Design FPGA, ASIC and CPLD devices for avionics hardware applications.
  • Create and simulate VHDL designs with appropriate tools.
  • Develop requirements in DOORs and prepare DO-254 artifacts.
  • Define project plans including schedule and cost objectives.
  • Develop bids and proposals and architect complex product areas.
  • Lead small projects with moderate risks and cross-team coordination.
  • Document technical data in line with policies and procedures.
