Job summary

Exeter Job Corps Academy seeks an Advanced Culinary Arts Instructor to provide industry-recognized culinary instruction and training, guiding students toward full-time employment or further education.

The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:45am–4:45pm, with highly competitive pay, exceptional health benefits, and campus facilities designed to support hands-on teaching and student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of one year of teaching or related field experience is required.
• Must be certified, licensed, or accredited by the RI Office of Food Protection.
• Previous Job Corps experience strongly preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, and crouching.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with comprehensive and individualized instruction leading to program completion.
• Deliver quality culinary training including food safety and preparation.
• Assist graduates with job leads and placement monitoring.
• Maintain organized, conducive classroom environments for learning.
• Enforce dress code and behavioral standards.
